Growth GroupsCommunity You are Searching For
In light of the recommendation from our governor in regards to the coronavirus, and in an effort to secure the safety of our members and the public at large, Growth Groups will not hold any in-person gatherings until further notice. However, River City Christian knows that group life is vital in times like this and is encouraging Growth Groups to meet virtually.
Many Growth Groups are continuing to meet digitally via Zoom, a video conferencing tool. Contact your Growth Group leader if you have not yet received information on joining the group video chat. If you are not currently in a Growth Group, but would like to join a group via Zoom, please contact us below.
Growth Groups are River City Christian’s version of small group Bible studies. Inter-generational groups of married couples and single adults who live in the same community meet weekly in a member’s home to discuss Sunday’s sermon. These spiritual families provide the opportunity to grow together through prayer and the study of God’s Word. Members also are challenged to be consistently sharing Jesus with those in their “other places” (where they naturally interact with those who are not yet believers).

Are there Growth Groups that are organized by life stage or interest area?
We believe that there is a great benefit in people from all life stages meeting together to study God’s Word. Therefore, all Growth Groups are designed to be inter-generational and open to men and women, married couples and singles. The church offers other opportunities for people to meet in life stage or age specific groups.
Are there Growth Groups that meet at the church on Sunday mornings?
No, all of our groups meet in homes and in the evenings.
Can I try out several Growth Groups and pick the one I like best?
We want everyone to feel comfortable in their Growth Group. If you attend a group and feel that it is not a “good fit” for you, we will locate another group for you to try.
