At River City Christian we encourage everyone to join us on The Path to becoming a more fully devoted follower of Christ. Growth Groups are small, inter-generational groups of married couples and single adults who live in the same community and meet weekly in a member’s home. These spiritual families provide the opportunity for life transformation by growing together through prayer and the study of God’s Word. Members also are challenged to be consistently sharing Jesus with those in their “other places” (where they naturally interact with those who are not yet believers).
Growth Groups are on summer break until August 20. Sign up now for the fall trimester.
Frequently Asked Questions
When and Where Do Growth Groups Meet?
River City Christian has Growth Groups throughout the Sacramento region. Groups meet on every day of the week except Saturday.
What happens after I sign up?
You will receive a confirmation email from the church office. Within a few days you will be contacted by a Growth Group leader who will provide you with the address and meeting time of the group. Our goal is to get you into a group as soon as possible.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes, you may bring your kids to Growth Group. Most groups include families with children and most groups have a childcare plan. Some groups provide babysitters while others rotate childcare among group members.
Are there Growth Groups that are organized by life stage or interest area?
We believe that there is a great benefit in people from all life stages meeting together to study God’s Word. Therefore, all Growth Groups are designed to be inter-generational and open to men and women, married couples and singles. The church offers other opportunities for people to meet in life stage or age specific groups.
Can I try out several Growth Groups and pick the one I like best?
We want everyone to feel comfortable in their Growth Group. If you attend a group for a few weeks and feel that it is not a “good fit” for you, we will locate another group for you to try.
Are there Growth Groups that meet in the mornings or at the church?
No, all of our groups meet in homes and in the evenings.
