River City Kids Special Needs is geared to providing children with special needs an environment in which they can thrive and learn about God’s wonderful love for them. We offer a Sunday morning program each week as well as free respite events once a month.

Our Special Needs ministry allows parents to worship while their child receives loving care according to their needs. The room is equipped with skill-appropriate toys and staffed by trained adults who comfort and direct children who need a different approach than the traditional classroom. Parents are welcome to come visit the program anytime.

Sundays | 10:00 a.m. in Room 111

We provide free respite events for children with special needs and their siblings, providing parents a time to go out to eat, run errands or just relax. Each child is connected with a buddy. The one-on-one connection assures that each child can participate in activities that best suit their needs and preferences. Respite events generally feature gym and playground time, violence-free video games, arts and crafts, approved movies and a gluten-free snack.

Our free respite events are held once a month on a Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Subject to change due to holidays and special events). Reservations are required to participate so that we may secure the appropriate number of volunteers to work with your children. Contact us to make a reservation or to find out more.
